Slovene Association of Language Editors and Proofreaders (LdS)
The Slovene Association of Language Editors and Proofreaders is a professional association that was formed in 1996. It unites language editors, proofreaders and individuals professionally engaged with Slovene. Slovene Association of Conference Interpreters (ZKTS)
The Slovene Association of Conference Interpreters was established in 1972. The main roles of the association are to ensure the highest level of professionalism and quality of the service of its members, and to cultivate the reputation and promotion of conference interpreters. Association of Sworn Court Interpreters and Legal Translators of Slovenia (SCIT)
The Association of Sworn Court Interpreters and Legal Translators of Slovenia was founded in 2012. The association strives to provide continuing education for its members, and it therefore hosts numerous seminars, conferences, lectures, and other events. Association of Slovene Sign Language Interpreters (ZZTSZJ)
The Association of Slovene Sign Language Interpreters is an organization which unites interpreters of Slovene sign language and other experts in the field. Its purpose is to ensure the right to use sign language to the deaf and the deaf-blind, to connect specialists in the profession, and to carry out in-service training. Read more (in Slovenian) ZTSZJ.
Association of Translators and Interpreters of Slovenia (DPTS)
The Association of Translators and Interpreters of Slovenia is a professional organization. Since 2014, it has united professional translators, accredited court interpreters, and interpreters. Because most of its members are accredited court interpreters, a Court Interpreter Section was established within the association. Read more (in Slovenian) DPTS.
Association of Scientific and Technical Translators of Slovenia (DZTPS)
The Association of Scientific and Technical Translators of Slovenia is a professional association established in 1960. Since 1993 it has been a member of the International Federation of Translators (FIT). Working toward regulation of the status of language profession, it also collaborates with similar Slovene professional associations. Read more (in Slovenian) DZTPS.
Slovene Association of Literary Translators (DSKP)
The Slovene Association of Literary Translators was established in 1953 under the name Slovene Association of Translators. The association is a member of the European Council of Literary Translators’ Associations. Its main purpose is to bring together translators of literary and humanities texts, to ensure quality translations, and to protect translators’ rights. Read more (in Slovenian) DKPS.
Association of Slovene Film and Television Translators (DSFTP)
The Association of Slovene Film and Television Translators was established in 2011. In 2017, it became a member of AudioVisual Translators Europe. The association brings together translators of audio-visual material, which includes subtitled and dubbed programs. Read more (in Slovenian) DSFTP.
